Heavy Industry
Heavy industry entails of some of the most complex electrical power systems that utilize specialized equipment which require some of the most demanding overload capabilities. Many of these intense applications are also continuous flow processes where the unintended interruption of power is not acceptable and can lead to catastrophic upsets. To meet such rigorous requirements, we design specialized solutions to ensure the mission of our customers and to achieve their operational excellence.
Electrical facilities for heavy industry must ensure minimal impact to production processes in the event of a utility power interruption. This can include design approaches involving the combination of high speed motor bus transfer schemes, closed transition source restoration, automatic generator starting with synchronization, and rotary UPS systems. The batch processing needs often require complex instrumentation systems to establish remote automation and monitoring for real-time system trending and to validate overall system functionality. In recognizing the uniqueness of these applications, we provide customized solutions including full-service design, power system studies, advanced protection schemes, startup, commissioning, and system integration.
Our capabilities include:
Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Systems
Microgrid Systems
Traditional & Renewable Energy Systems
SCADA System Monitoring & Automation
Industrial Manufacturing
Integrated Steel Mills
Refineries and Petrochemical Operations
